Internet Marketing - Three Steps Towards Success

The M&M Online Blog have just completed its 1st Month. I am pretty happy with my stats so far. This article is to let you know about those Three Steps that I personally follow to survive in the world of Internet Marketing.
I know The M&M Online is not a Big name in Internet marketing so far, and so I'll try to make this article to the point.

Internet Marketing :
It was nearly Impossible to survive In my first month on Internet marketing. I really worked hard and made a whole lot of search to dig my way in this Industry. With all the research that I personally made throughout the first month, I found a few useful steps towards success.

1. Make your Strategy at the very Beginning:
The success rate for Internet Marketing is 99:1. That means only 1% of Internet marketers becomes successful and others just drown.

Why?
Simply B'coz the rest don't have a stragic plan to work on. They always wonder what to do every second.

What should you do?
It is very clear that with out a stragic plan, success in Internet Marketing is not even hard but almost Impossible. So, start making your plan, even if you have the best tools available, you'll need to follow your plan to make them work for you.

With my research, I found that If you want to be successful, you should always work for the Long Term Basis First and the Short Term Basis afterwards.

Long Term Basis: If you want more visitors for your site/blog on long term basis, you should first Submit your Links to search engines, then to do SEOs, then work to increase your back links. This way you will Increase your page rank and get a good flow of traffic.

Short Term Basis: If you want more visitors for your site/blog on short term basis, you should stay active in forums, post articles and submit your articles at social bookmarking site.

Why the Long Term Benifits first?
When you have taken your time doing SEOs and other Long Term Base stuff, you'll need to wait for a while to see results from these steps. While you wait, you can always use short term base tricks to stay active. This way you will not be waiting for countless hours figuring out what should you do next. This will save your time and effort and will be easy to manage with your busy routine.

2. Set your Goals, Break them Apart:
For Internet Marketers, The Only Goal is to achieve countless Earnings from their Site/Blog. But, how would you know that if you are getting close to your goal or not?
This is where you need to Break down your Goal into multiple short term Goals. I usually set my monthly Goals and work to achieve them only. You should too. Break down your Goals into weekly/Monthly basis, work hard to achieve them.

Why?
B'coz when you have a short term goal, Its easy to track your progress. For suppose you set a goal of getting 3000 visitors next month. Now break it down in 4 piece. make your 1st goal to get 800 visitors in first week. stay on your routine and do what you usually use to do, if you can achieve your 1st week's goal, you already know that you will achieve your this month's goal. And if you fail to get 800 visitors 1st week, work hard the next week, cover up all missed in first week and now you know that how much effort you'll have to put in next week to achieve your next week's goal.

Breaking your Goal help you keeping track of your progress, tell you how much effort you need to put it and it also dicreases your failure chances. I have been doing the same and it does work for me. try it.

3. Keep Trying New Things:
Internet is a media which is spreading faster than anything else. Hundereds of new programes are launced ever day, if not then every week. God know which of them are really working and which are not. So, you should always try the new ones, if you think that is not working just remove that and ignore it forever, go for another one.

Stick to those working for you as if you loose a programe that is working, you might not be able to find it again. In the world of Internet, many great programes rise like a shiny star and dissapear when you wake up the next morning. So you cannot afford to loose those which are actually working for you!

The M&M Online Completting its 1st Month.

Hello.
First of all I would like say Thanks to all my Readers and those who have supported me to be able to keep up this far.

Before I go ahead and tell you what The M&M Online BloG achieved in its 1st month, I would like to let you know what were my Goals for the frist month..

Before I started this Blog, I decided to have a few goals to be achieved in the first months.

My Goals Were:

1. To create a total of 7 Blogs.
2. To be Indexed in atleast 3 Major Search Engines.
3. To complete Search Engine Optimization for all my Blogs.
4. To get a minimum of 500 Back Links for my Blog.
5. To get a minimum of 1000 visitors to my Blog.
6. To earn a minimum of $8.00 from Adsense Ads.

These were the few Goals which I decided to achieve in my first month.
Now I am going to tell you what The M&M Online Blog actually achieved in it's First Month.

My 1st Month's Achievements:

• A total of 7 Blogs created. ( Done )
• I got indexed in more than 25 Major Search Engines. ( Indexed in 22 more Search Engines than what I planned )
• Search Engine Optimization Completed for all my Blogs ( Done )
• I got a total of 736 BackLinks ( thats 236 more links than what I planned )
• I got a total of 1797 visitors to my Blog. ( thats 797 more visitors than what I planned )
• I earned a total of $12.36 from Adsense Ads ( thats $4.36 more than what I planned )

Overall, I am pretty happy with what I got in return from my Blog till now, I am going to add a detailed article on how did I achieved these stats, In that article I'll be recommending Tips n Tricks and Tools that I have personally used and are working 100% for me..

7 Steps for a Killer Link Exchange Campaign - The M&M Traffic Blog

It's no secret that one of the best ways to get traffic online is to trade links with other related websites. Not only does this help you get targeted traffic, but it helps with your search engine optimization as well.

Well, there's a right way to link exchange and a wrong way, if you want the most out of your linking, then be sure to follow these 7 steps:

1. Develop a spreadsheet file (in Excel) and create the following columns:
Website URL
E-mail
Contact Name
Website PR (we'll talk about how to figure this out in a minute)
Contact 1
Response to Contact 1
Contact 2
Response to Contact 2
Contact 3
Response to Contact 3

2. Finding a Website's PR:
Go to Google and download the free toolbar. This toolbar has a feature on it that will tell you the PR for any website you visit. If you plan on optimizing your website for search engines, this tool is a MUST.

3. Choosing websites to link to:
Go to any search engine and start typing in keywords for which you'd like to rank highly. Visit each website and add them to your excel file. Once you hit 50 websites, spend some time contacting them. We recommend contacting each website personally and not using any automated software (it's very easy to see when someone uses software). There are many programs out there that will do a mass link exchange mailing, but we strongly advise you NOT to use them (at least in the beginning). These programs can get you in a lot of trouble with SPAM laws. Also, if each email is personal, you are MUCH more likely to get a link back.

4. Write your contact email:
ake sure to address the email to someone specific. Always insert some details that you enjoyed about the site. It's evidence that you actually visited the site and made a conscious decision to link to it. Briefly introduce your website, and send them the URL of your link to their site. Finally, ask for a link back to your site. TIP: Give them specific directions on how to link back to you, what keywords to use, and what URL to link to. It always helps to give them the exact HTML coding that they would need.

5. Respond to replies:
If you get an acceptance of your offer: Thank them, and add them to a separate Excel file. This will become a list of people you will constantly stay in touch with (to submit articles, free viral reports, etc.). Register the reply in your "Reply to Contact 1" section. This way you will know NOT to send a follow-up email. If the person rejects your offer: Add that note to your Excel file so that you don't contact them again. A good technique is to highlight that entire row with a red highlighter so there's no danger of a mistake. If you get no reply: Follow step 6.

6. Send follow-up e-mails:
Wait one week to follow-up with those who have not replied. This is the second contact. In this e-mail, state that you wrote to them the prior week. Rephrase the email to keep it fresh. Wait for replies, then repeat Step 5. Do not contact a "no-reply" website a third time unless you have a very good reason to.

7. Find more web sites:
After finishing your initial batch of 50, repeat the process for another 50. Once you begin getting incoming links, you will slowly start seeing similar "link exchange requests" coming to you. This will decrease your leg work. There you have it, those are the 7 simple steps to starting an effective link exchanging campaign.
Remember, a small percentage actually accept and respond, that's OK.

** The trick to getting lots of links is to send lots of requests so make this a daily habit.

The number one question for a new blogger is, how is my site doing? When you first start though you may not have realized it, it will take weeks probably months before you will have a steady traffic base and be able to start making money. So you pass the time by watching statcounter or anaylitics, and keep clicking on the refresh button. Well now I am going to suggest several more ways to pass the time.

One :-
This guy named 'Dane Carlson' created this little html thingy, sponsered by 'technorati'. And you just type in your blog address, and it will give you a guess about how much your site is worth. Now don't get your hopes up, it's not realistic. But hey, everybody likes knowing that according to this site their blog is worth thousands of dollars.

Two :-
Here's a similar program but that is more extensive. It's called dnscoop. It also shows, links to your site which is very fun to check up on. Everybody wants to see if anyone has linked to their site. Two links are nice, but if they do it with no reward, lol it just feels good.

Go onto google and type in the web address of your site without the .com. Like for this site I would type in, 'themmonline' and then press enter. It shows all the sites that you have done something on, and also those that have linked to you.

The last one, is Alexa ranking. This is similar to google, if you comparing a mosquito to an elephant. But many people do use it, and the ranking is more fun to follow cause your constantly moving up and down.

Back then he gave the practice of using links in comments for SEO purposes a 6 out of 10 on the "must-do" scale.
